1996 September 5
NewWorld.com (NewWorld) is incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas.
October 14
NewWorld completes an initial $1,500,000 private equity offering.
September - December
NewWorld acquires several video game websites, including: The Adrenaline Vault, The PC Release List, Yarlen's Treehouse, Game Not Over, 3D Portal, The Broken Joystick, 3Dgen, Elite Games and a few others. All the acquired websites are merged into the Adrenaline Vault (Avault).
1997 June 27
NewWorld launches the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) the world's first organization to sanction computer game competitions as a professional sport.
2000 December 1
NewWorld launches the Consummate Computer Competition (C3), the first professional competition of user-modified personal computers.
2001 March 6
NewWorld acquires a small online league and relaunches it as the Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL), it becomes the world's largest full-season online videogame league of its time.
2005 January - December
NewWorld organizes the world's first $1,000,000 gaming tournament, and names it The CPL World Tour. The tour holds ten stops around the globe, and the finals are held in New York City and televised by MTV.
2006 July 18
NewWorld commences a renovation of the Adrenaline Vault. For a few months only the forums remain active.
December 16
NewWorld launches Severity, a project to develop competition standards for multiplayer video games.
2007 February 26
NewWorld relaunches the Adrenaline Vault as a non-commercial gaming website.
June 14
NewWorld licenses Severity to Escalation Studios.
2008 March 13
NewWorld halts the CPL's 2008 tournaments and commences sale negotiations of both CPL and CAL.
August 25
NewWorld sells 90% of the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) to an investment group from Abu Dhabi. The acquiring company is renamed The CPL Holding Group, LTD and is incorporated in Mahé, Seychelles.
November 14
NewWorld sells the Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL) to The CPL Holding Group, LTD of Mahé, Seychelles.
2009 November 18
NewWorld sells its remaining ten percent (10%) interest in the Cyberathlete Professional League to the newly formed The CPL Digital Entertainment Pte. LTD of Singapore. The CPL Digital Entertainment also acquires The CPL Holding Group, LTD of Mahé, Seychelles. Integrating the brand under one corporate entity.
2010 February 8
NewWorld announces the appointment of Joe Garagiola, Jr. as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr Garagiola is also Senior Vice President of baseball operations for Major League Baseball (MLB).
May 1
The CPL Digital Entertainment Pte. LTD is acquired by WoLong Ventures Pte. LTD of Singapore. The Cyberathlete Professional League, Cyberathlete Amateur League and all related intelectual properties are transferred to WoLong Ventures Pte. LTD of Singapore.
Aug 23
NewWorld and WoLong Ventures Pte. LTD of Singapore announce the completion of the CPL and CAL acquisition.
October 24
NewWorld signs a two-year contract with Ricardo Vazquez as host of The PlayBunker podcast show.
December 27
The PlayBunker becomes the top gaming website in the Caribbean.
2011 December 9
After 15 years as CEO, Angel Munoz resigns to focus on a new project called Mass Luminosity.
